Hello,

I've recently copied some files from a local area network computer to a memory stick drive. But the problem is that I couldn't find all the files on the stick drive. How could that be possible?

And one more thing, could anyone from the network (let's say the main PC) see that I have been copied those files, which were shared on the network?

Thank you!

Solution

1. You didn't copy them properly
or
2. Yes, various network setting can indeed prevent you from copying to a flash drive.

3. Yes, the network admins can, if they choose, see what you are doing.
Whose local area network did you copy the files from?

Overall your post seems, to me, that you are attempting to do something rather inappropriate.

Forum rules prohibit helping with piracy, hacking, etc..

Suggest that you add some detail and clarification to your post. Thank you.

Thank you for you answers.

The files are MS Word documents with different details regarding work activity, which are public to anyone and on every computer on the network. And I've found it wired that after I copied them, I couldn't found them on the flash drive. I was wondering if someone could block me during I was doing that (4-5 minutes time) or the network is somehow restricting you...
