Copy HD games to new HD?

Hi,
I fitted a hard drive, and transfered a load of PS2 games onto it. Takes for
ages to transfer games but they do run much faster, and I think its good for
the lens.
The trouble is I only put in a 40GB drive, thinking it would take all of my
games but now have run out of space. I am going to buy a new drive but does
anybody know if I have to go through the slow process of re-loading the
games onto the new HD?
Is there any way of just copying drive to drive, using the PC or some other
way?

Any info much appreciated,
Cheers
Jazza

If you are on a UNIX based operating system you could connect both hard drives to your
computer, and then use the dd command to make an exact copy of the first hard drive to
the second hard drive i think. Have a look at man dd on the console.

dd doesn't need to "recognize" the FS on the HD, it just copies the entire
disk - one bit at a time.
