Copy/Move/Send to. not working as it should

Hi, before posting i tried searching for an answer but to no avail.
i cannot figure out what is going on. i am trying to copy video files from internal hdd to external hdd, i am not getting any errors in fact those video files just instantly appear on the external. but when i connect that external to another pc or a tv, the files is not there. tried 'copy-paste' 'move-paste' but when i right click to try 'send to' the external does not show in the list.

instantly? are you sure you didn't just copy the icon?

unsure... right click on the video, copy, then paste in the location of the external, also tried just dragging. the videos (24 of them) just instantly appear in the external. i can play them from the external using the pc i copied them from. also, the file size is to big to just be a shortcut.

did you do the Safely Remove Hardware before disconnecting the disk

yea... Safely Remove Hardware haven't shown for a looong time now, not for any removable drive.
anyway i kept on trying to copy whilst waiting for help and now they show on my tv. so i have no idea what's up. lol it's not like my pc is that fast.
