Copy/paste, Explorer crashing problems

I recently connected my phone to my computer to save the files from the memory card and device memory to my computer. Explorer keeps crashing and restarting, and I am unable to copy any files over to my computer. The paste option is just greyed out. Any suggestions? Thanks
