[SOLVED] Core 19 11900K vs Core i7 8700K performance differential

Solution
Percentages do not mean a whole lot when they are improvements above a certain level, especially if gaming.

I'd not upgrade an 8700K (which still slightly faster than an R5-3700X last time I saw comparisons) until it no longer meets your needs, and not merely because something else is out '10-13%' faster at 1080P', etc...

Below are comparisons between 8700k and existing 10900K when both are equipped with a 2080Ti

In percentages, how much faster is single and multi-core performance of the Core i9 11900K compared to the old Core i7 8700K?

No idea... but for the sake of comparison I can tell you my old 4c/8t 7700k would take 2 hours to encode a 2 hour video file in Handbrake... The 10c/20t 10900k encodes the same 2 hour video file in 30 minutes.

Well, a 10 core CPU is going to be 150% faster than a 4 core in heavily multi-threaded applications.

I meant single core and multi-core performance compared to the previous generation 8-core CPU.
