Core 2 duo speed vs i3

I am going to buy a laptop and want to know if the Intel Core 2 duo is slower than the i3?

Yes core 2 duo is old tech the I3 is much faster. But what are you looking to do with your laptop if you want to do some gaming the graphics card should be a main concern over the processor.

Well clock for clock, the i3 is better and more power effiecient, but if your talking about different clocked cpu's than that could make a difference
