Is the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 better processor than the Core i3-4150?

I3 4150 is more or less 300% more productive than Core 2 Duo E8400.

core i3 is way newer, plus it has hyperthreading.

Core 2 quad is equal to i3 most times but not all the time.

Even overclocked Core 2 Quad can't keep up with an Ivy Bridge I3s, what is left for Haswell.
