core 2 quad memory underclock

I have a 4gb ddr3 1333 ram now and i bought 8gb ddr3 1333 but when it came it was 1600. Could i underclock the ram in order to add it to my system?

The RAM will automatically clock its self to DDR3-1333. Just unplug your computer, insert the ram, plug in your computer and turn it on.
