Core 2s work with all socket LGA 775 mobos?

I've got a asus p5n32-sli mobo, which is LGA 775, but I wasn't sure if this ensures compatibility with the core 2s. Enlighten me, please.

For intel chipsets, only 965X and 975X will support Core 2.

OP doesn't say that he has the SE (which I believe is the latest variant supporting Core 2) - afaik the older, plain P5N32 SLI doesn't support Core 2.

Wrong! There have been motherboards available for Conroe that use the 865 and 945 chipset families since it was introduced.
