Ah, Ive had that issue before. Most times it is caused by overclocking/monitoring programs. Uninstall any applications that have the ability to overclock. such as MSI Afterburner, EVGA prescription X, CAM software monitor, etc. After that, restart your computer.

Hope that works!

The problem is that the new driver has AMD Wattman built in. So "uninstalling" isn't really an option for anyone who has the latest drivers. I have been looking on AMD.com and I cannot find the past drivers for the RX 480 on Windows 10 64-bit.

So it seems after the update a few days ago to the latest drivers my afterburner quit working and wattman wont let me overclock im stuck at 300 mhz with my msi 8gb rx 480. I was around 1316 mhz clock and 2000 mhz mem and i could go well over the 1316 mark if i wanted these latest updates screwed up a lot of things im a hardcore gamer and streamer this needs to be fixed.

The same problem with me. I think I'm going to go back to the old drivers
