Core Clock and Boost Clock

This is pretty simple, but I don't know much about gpus. Card providers have a core clock and a boost clock. Would I have to do anything to achieve the boost clock or does it automatically apply when stressed? And Newegg is selling the gtx 950 from msi today for $120 with rebate! It seems like an amazing deal but I am not sure if I should do it. They also have an evga 950 ftw w/ a rebate making it $140. What would you do? (I don't really want to overclock)

It's supposed to boost on its own.

It would be easier to compare those two GPUs if you posted links to them.

I am going to purchase it today, after installing the card into my computer do I need to do anything other than installing drivers?
