Question core clock wont change

i have an i5 3570k with a ga-z77-hd3 mobo i wanted to over clock it quite old now but whenever i change the core clock in the bios it stays at 3.6 under stress i went back to check and the core clock said x40 so im really confused so i gave up at thought id try easy tune but when installing it says that this is not a gigabyte product

You're motherboard does not support overclocking, which means any software also won't work
