if i require a core duo 2.x processor or better what am i looking for in laymans language.

here are the specs given:
core duo 2.x
1 GB RAM
120 Gb Harddrive

this is for a program that will house our client database and runs on an SQL server

Well, I don't know. Because I don't know what that means or where it came from. Would you care to elaborate with a short story or something telling us what you mean and what exactly you want?

For example, if you went on a website to see the minimum specs for a game, tell us that and tell us it told you "core duo 2.x processor or better". If you tell us that and what game for example we could help you with the meaning of it and what you would need for the performance you are after.
