Core i3 3220 and HD6670

Actually I've post this on comments, but since the thread has been solved I'm afraid there won't be any reply anymore, so I decide to create a new thread.

this is my comment:

Get the G860 or G850 [if available] and use the rest of the cash to save up for a better GPU. An i3-3220 is no use at all if all you have is a HD6670.

I'm newbie here, I've just bought core i3 3220 and HD6670 :lol:

how could we know wether it's no use or not? how could we test it?

and I what would you suggest?

I think what lilotimz said was that the i3-3220 is an entry level chip and that it will most probably be a bottleneck for your 6670.

What are you planning on doing with the machine?

It will be OK for general web browsing and enjoying the odd games here and there on medium settings.

Is that true? I thought he means that the 6670 is the bottleneck :lol:

I think I just want to use it to play a game (like dota2, pes2013, fifa2013) in medium/high setting smoothly.

Have you already opened and installed the 6670?

If not, then look at returning and upgrading to a better GPU

The i3 doesn't bottleneck the 6670, he was saying it was better to buy a pentium G8xx and get a better card with price difference, in which i agree.
A pentium G8xx+7750 > i3+6670.

Yeah, I think I need A new graphic card,, any suggestion? it should be below $140 (preferebly $120 if the card doesn't give any significant difference)
