Hello kiivs,

An i3 is more than enough for DOTA 2. Check this video, where the person gets a solid average of 90-100 FPS, with out any lag, with almost the same config you're looking for. I assume you've 8GB RAM at least, which is the still the sweet spot for gaming:

I assume your config would be:

i3 4170 / 8GB RAM / GTX 750 2GB

The person's config in the above video:

i3 4130 / 8GB RAM / GTX 750 Ti 2GB

That person has slightly better graphics but slightly inferior processor. But may have slightly better processor but slightly inferior graphics. It pretty much balances out. So I expect you...

Update:

I highly recommend getting the i3-4170 over the 4 year old i3-2100, which has no warranty and is listed by Intel as "End of Life" product. You can check under the "Status" section here - http://ark.intel.com/products/53422/Intel-Core-i3-2100-Processor-3M-Cache-3_10-GHz

No matter how low a person sells a PC component, never buy them, because if anything goes wrong, you lose your money and on top of that you've to spend again to get a new product. So its total waste of money, time and your energy. Get the new i3-4170 launched in Q1 2015, is far better than the i3-2100, in terms of power consumption, better integrated heat spreader, supports PCI Express 3.0, better integrated graphics and top of that comes with 3 year warranty.

You can find the full comparison of these processors here - http://ark.intel.com/compare/53422,77490

Cheers!

thanks for your answer sir.but i digress a little bit.you know much difference between core i3 2100 and core i3 4170? coz he is selling for a very cheap price.like only 1/3 of the current price of the i3 4170 but it is 4 year old though.
