Core i3-6100 vs Core i5-2310....

Benchmark wise, these two Intel cpus come close to each other, but which one is better??
Which one should be the gamers choice?
I don't care about ram being ddr3 or ddr4

The i3 6100 is hands down a better processor. If your looking to buy processor on a low budget, I would recommend the G4560. It is slightly slower than the i3 6100 and offer much better price/performance, allowing you to spend more on the Graphics card etc.
