[SOLVED] Core i5 1035g1 temperature problems?

Hey all I’m setting up a laptop for a friend of mine using the core i5 1035g1 and it’s reaching temps of 88C. Is this normal for a laptop? Under full load it reaches up to 82c but after awhile it down clocks and temps are 50-60. One time it even reached into the 90s under little load. When not under heavy loads the temps can go from 70-88c. Is the laptop busted ? Idle temps seem fine at 40c

totally normal for such a CPU
use a cooling pad if there is a high ambient temperature

It is common for laptops to run hot, unfortunately.

A cooling pad might help. Maybe a thermal paste reapplication aswell.

even running at that temperatures would the laptop last 2-3 years ?

Hard to say. I would guess the laptop wouldn't be damaged by those temps and decrease the lifespan noticably.

It is normal to have such temp, I have worked a lot of laptops before, that temperature is normal.
If you prefer it to be cooler, you may opt for a laptop cooling pad.
