News Core i5-12490F Outpaces Core i5-12400F By 15% In Early Geekbench Benchmarks

Ok, I have to ask... Why so many darn SKUs with Alder Lake? Like... There's like a bazillion of them now. I know the idea is to get as much money as possible when you have a good product and all, but isn't all this "diversity" just an annoyance for the end user?

Like... 200Mhz extra... Yay? How much? $10? Then why even bother with the lower end SKU in the first place? =/

Regards.

The article mentions there is no 12500F, so it is likely 12490F will fill it's role.
As the article points out, this cpu is exclusive to China.
