Hello, I bought this last year and since first day I'm having this issue, I told that the guy and even called tech nibba check to wots wrong but they couldn't figure it out and said it's fine lalala PC Starts so it's disk usage goes up etc. So I did a lot of benchmark tests and my CPU passed it so ppl are telling me to buy SSD it will fix the issue?
2nd question:
I want to upgrade to Core i5 6th gen check my motherboard if I can?
If not then which main board do I need to upgrade to i5 6th gen or any other gen.

(((
Hello,
I'm having core i5 2400 3.1ghz 8gb ram ddr3 500gb hdd and gt 1030 2gb Im facing high disk usage and my computer lags/freeze I already tried installing an other windows but still problem exist
My CPU is giving output like core 2 duo it's core i5 it's working very slow, but it can play games like GTA v without stutter or something but if GTA is running or tencent gaming buddy is running nothing else will work on it like chrome or opening a folder etc. I already changed hdd I think I'm having problem with processor
)))

Superfetch is disabled and I have already performed almost everything told on Ms windows forum about how to increase ur PC performance
Every app is set not to start as soon as windows load.
Also I'm 2rams of Samsung and one of Kingston you can check that in screenshots.

Benchmark result link

High disk usage/PC info ss
Sorry this post is kinda messy 💔💔 bear with it

How do I check which processor is going to work with my motherboard?
Generally speaking, you need to know the model of your Moderboard and just go to the manufacturer's webpage and check the "cpu compatibility list". That being said, you're running a Sandy Bridge era CPU, so it's a safe bet your highest upgrade is either a i7 2700K or i7 3770K (depending on Chipset; generation 6x is Sandy, generation 7x is Ivi Bridge and Sandy Bridge).

And will buying SSD improve performance?
Yes, it will greatly improve your "quality of life" with the computer. SSDs are fast to the point where mundane tasks make the computer very responsive when loading programs. As for games, it won't improve the performance itself, but will greatly...
Well, 2 things, really:

1.- If you have high Disk usage, that means you don't have enough RAM for everything you want to run, so Windows is trying to use the HDD as extra memory (read on what "page system file" is, or "swap space"). So, you have the options of getting more ram (better option) or more disk (cheaper option).
2.- Don't disable superfetch; it makes Windows slower for indexing and searching. And that happens all the time. Yes, it improves (marginally) programs that want more memory, but it just bugs the rest. This is from my own experiences and playing with the options and disabling it is more trouble than not (for daily usage).

As for upgrade options... If you don't have really high requirements, then you can keep the 1060 3GB and just upgrade CPU, RAM and Motherboard. Anything from an Intel i3 8K generation on-wards will be great for you. AMD is another good option in the mid-range with the Ryzen 3s (1500X specially).

Cheers!

How do I check which processor is going to work with my motherboard? And will buying SSD improve performance, 8gb ram ddr3 should be enough to handle few tasks?
Which SSD should I buy? Model etc?

Yes, it will greatly improve your "quality of life" with the computer. SSDs are fast to the point where mundane tasks make the computer very responsive when loading programs. As for games, it won't improve the performance itself, but will greatly reduce loading times (for example). And the system page file in an SSD should make the system respond faster as well, but it also means it will degrade the SSD faster (unlike HDDs, they have a shorter write/read life cycle; like WAY shorter).

8gb ram ddr3 should be enough to handle few tasks?
Yes, 8GB is fine for almost everything that you do daily on a PC, but when you want to play games and have, say, Chrome open with 20 tabs, you will eat more than 8GB for sure.

Which SSD should I buy? Model etc?
The best alternative you have, and a popular favorite, is the MX500 from Crucial. It's not an expensive SSD and it performs quite well. On the upper side of the spectrum you have Samsung SSDs (EVO line on the "cheap", PRO line on the top end) and the Intel SSDs leading the pack usually. If you are unsure, go around reading about specific models you find; there's plenty sites that review SSDs and give out important information about them. There's one rule of thumb though: cheap ones are usually cheap for a reason (unless specially discounted ones for sales).

Cheers!
