No. Its a little bit better then the i3 6100. But sadly it's not gonna work with your setup as it requires a lga 1155 motherboard and different ram. In fact if you do this its gonna be expensive and a downgrade. So definitely no.

An i5 or i7 6XXX series processor, would perform much better then your i3 there and will work on your setup.. Those are your only options as for the price.

what Im pointing is the core i5 2500 is good for streaming cause it is a quad core cpu compared to a dual core cpu which is better on multitasking like streaming but my question is. is it still reliable for an old cpu like this?

Just Save Up And Get A XEON OR i7 current gen. Just consider selling the i3 once you get the new one. Intel chips still sell very well on ebay and retain a lot of their value
