Hey guys I recently purchased an i5-3350p and windows only recognizes 2 cores and 2 threads when it's a 4 core and 4 thread CPU! In Cinebench and CPU-Z, and in msconfig it only shows 2 cores and 2 threads. I would really appreciate it if somebody could help. Here's my PC if this helps.

PC:
CPU:Intel Core i5-3350p @ 3.1ghz
GPU:EVGA Superclocked GTX 660 2gb GDDR5
Memory:2x4gb Kingston HyperX ram @ 1600mhz
Motherboard:ASRock B75M-DGS
Hard Drive: 1TB Seaggate Barracuda 7200rpm drive
Power Supply:Corsair cx430

thats odd. im leaning to the defective side of the situation. have you changed BIOS settings??

Sorry, I don't understand? Like I'm not very good with the BIOS sorry, like I was researching for about 4 hours straight now and the very best piece of information I could get was doing a fresh install of Windows. I recently changed the BIOS back to it's original settings though. But that didn't help. I would really appreciate any more help that you could give me. Thanks for replying so quickly 😀

yes no problem. It might be defective but if its running fine it might be something else. might be a driver or MB error.

Well it's running perfectly fine, I don't think there's a motherboard problem, because I was running an intel Celeron G540 for about 7 months perfectly fine. It's a sandy bridge CPU, so do you think that the switch to an Ivy Bridge caused an issue, and do you think I should do a fresh install o Windows?
