Core i5 3550 OC

Hello guys. I have ASUS Z77 V LX mobo and core i5 3550 3.3 Ghz stock. Ive used to OC it to 4.0 using turbo boost multiplier and increased a vcore to +0.08 offset. Everything was fine for a year. Now, i suggested to do extreme OC for this CPU, which is not suited for OC at all. Ive set x41 multiplier and 103 bus speed. So Now im running at 4.3 Ghz which is perfect for me, BUT i was cathing BSODS which was really annoying, so I started experiments with Vcore. 1.2 manual still was bad, and I tried to switch to offset. I increased vcore 3 or 4 times, until i set +0.2 offset, which means i have around 1.1 vcore in idle and 1.448 max during gaming or tests. I know, that this CPU isnt made for OC and 1.5 vcore is a bit high vcore even for 4.8 ghz on K CPUs as well and its a bit strange, that i need to set such high vcore while i have only 4.3 ghz, which is only +1Ghz from stock.
So, the question is - Is it ok to have such high vcore on this CPU (it became stable with this vcore, 8h prime 95 with no issues and 89c only) and is +300mhz worth + 0.2 vcore? Thx for answers guys.

Intel specifies the max voltage for Ivy bridge as 1.5V, so you should be ok. However, 89C is very warm - my general rule is not to let the CPU get over 70C, as excessive heat will likely cause it to degrade faster.

The reason your chip needs such high voltages to overclock is likely the same reason its a 3550 rather than a 3570K - when it was manufactured, it couldn't hit high clocks with low voltages, so was binned as a lower-end chip.
