Hi friends.

I've been thinking to upgrade my Core i5 4430 (below you can see my complete build). I have it since 2013 and maybe it is time to change but I'm not sure if I am wasting money.

So I just want to ask you, the experts, if you think that upgrading to an i5 4690K (3.5 GHz) is worth or should I get more out of my actual CPU? Internet says that it is about 20% better performance in comparison.

Will this CPU improve my PC for gaming and raise my FPS? What do you think?

Thanks so much 🙂

CPU: Intel Core i5 4430 3.0GHz (up to 3.2 GHz)

The motherboard permits overclocking (Z-series chipsets are a dead giveaway), but even so, I don't think it's worthwhile.

There are only a few use-cases where the hyper-threading of the i7 (really the only difference between i5 and i7) will be beneficial - Photoshop, rendering, video processing, suchlike.
