Question Core i5-6400 @ 2.70GHz for gaming

Hi I currently have a Core i5-6400 @ 2.70GHz and don't really have the funds for
A better cpu, I'm just wondering supplied with an Rx 590 is the CPU good enough
For intense gaming like call of duty, Fortnite and need for speed heat,

I have 8GB ram alongside them

It’s going to depend on the game. Fortnite will run ok, I don’t know about Need for Speed Heat but COD Modern Warfare will not be a good experience with that cpu and only 8GB RAM.

I have noticed Fortnite is ok and call of duty sometimes skips/lags during the game.

But my call of duty closes on itself after a few games
