Question core i5-6402 2.8 ghz can be replaced with core i7 for improving performance?

can I only upgrade core i7 processor for improving performance ? Thanks in advance .

u can upgrade to i7 6th or 7th gen processor and definitely it will improve performance; but it depends on what u r using the pc for?
Also just an upgrade to an ssd will make ur system snappier...

what is ur budget?
if u r on a tight budget, i wud say 1660 or 1660 ti...
