core i5 9600k thermal paste?

Does the core i5 9600k come with pre applied thermal paste on it already? If not do I have to do it myself?

No, the 9600k wont come with thermal paste applied. But the aftermarket cooler you buy will come with thermal paste. Either it will be pre-applied or it will come with a tube.

The CPU does not. Since that CPU does not include a factory cooler, it would depend on what cooler you are using. But generally YOU have to add thermal compound.

No CPUs come with the paste applied. Only CPU coolers come with the paste applied. So it will depend on the cooler you buy if it is pre applied or if there is a tube included. If it is not pre applied, it is really easy to do (even though it sounds scary). Dont let that impact your buying decision.
