So I''m getting the Dell 7559, and I looked up gameplay of Black Ops 3 and CSGO with the i7-6700HQ. And they seem pretty good quality and FPS wise. But I can't find any footage of the i5-6300HQ being used (except Tech Deals, but he didn't use OBS/ShadowPlay). Does anyone have personal experience with the base model of this Laptop? Or at least a good idea of how the i5 would perform?
I also have a webcam if that would make a big impact, and would probably use the Elgato Capture software or OBS.

Don't listen to people that say "don't game on laptop", "Laptop will burn your house down" or " laptop will cause nuclear thermal war". If you need a laptop, then buy a laptop. To answer your question the i5 6300hq is a true quad core...
Laptops aren't recommended for recording gameplay. If you compare the i7-6700HQ to the desktop version, it outperroms it completely. All this recording put a lot of stress on your laptop. It's risky but I say it's possible.

i5 or i7 doesn't matter, it's the GPU that does. Recording gameplay doesn't sacrifice much FPS, but it doesn't help either. If you want max details, 1080p, 60 fps, with webcam, it's not realistic from a laptop.

Question from Tenslaster2980 : "Core i5 or i7 for recording PC gameplay?"

More like 720p, 30FPS for videos.

Right, I admit that this isn't the best option, but my internet at home sucks, and sometimes I go to my Grandma's or my Friends and I will play with my friends there. And sometimes I upload there too. If this wasn't an issue I'd get a Desktop.
How exactly would this be risky? Would it damage the CPU and GPU? If so I may not get it.

Don't listen to people that say "don't game on laptop", "Laptop will burn your house down" or " laptop will cause nuclear thermal war". If you need a laptop, then buy a laptop. To answer your question the i5 6300hq is a true quad core processor and you can perfectly game and use shadowplay for recording for gameplay. But OBS even with GPU accelerated will consume a bit more cpu than usual. Heavy cpu game like gta v and battlefield would lag a bit if you use OBS but record perfectly with shadowplay. I use a laptop myself (i5 6300hq lenovo y700) to record games. Bare in mind: keep an eye on your temperature. Put your laptop on a flat surface and keep it clean.
Tip: if you can afford the i7 go with it else stay with i5 (reason is laptop cpu in this dell cannot be upgrade)
Happy gaming and recording :)
