Core i5 Vs Dual Core identical stats

Hello,
what would be better for gaming an i5 at 2.26(Turbo boost to 2.53) or a dual core at 2.53?

Im looking at these two computers, each has nearly identical stats one has a larger screen tho(one with dual core) but im leaning more towards the i5 just because it is new.
