Hello,
I recently got this CPU and all was well. After one boot up, my core#6 is constantly running as soon as windows boots up.
I dont have anything running in the background but its always running.
Any idea on why this is happening?

Not to be too picky, you've got 4 cores, capable of running 2 threads each. Where do you see (in what program) that thread #6 is running constantly? Please provide a screenshot.

Open Task Manager. Click on the Processes tab. Click on the "Show processes from all users" button. Now click on the CPU column so it sorts from highest to lowest based on CPU usage (if it sorts from lowest to highest, click on it again). What is showing up at the top of the list? Please provide a screenshot.

Windows 7 gadget shows me 8 core, so the 6th thread was constantly @ 60%+.
I looked around a bit and saw that the system was running interrupts cosntantly probably due to a usb hard ware not getting a driver.
Seems to be gone now.
Thanks
