Hello, I have I i7 860 paired up with a Biostar TP55 mobo. When I run CPU-Z it says I have 4 cores and only 4 threads, when I know it should be 8. I've already updated my bios. Any other ideas?

Thank you

Two first things to check

what is the BIOS setting when it comes to enabled cores and hyperthreading?

Using msconfig, navigate to Boot > Advanced Settings and make sure Number of Processores is unchecked.

Yes, just type msconfig in the Start Menu search field and hit enter (or use a command promt or Windows key + r).r
