core i7 for video editing

Intel® Core™ i7-3520M Processor 2.90 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.60 GHz versus 3rd gen quad core processor for unprofessional video editing. Which one is better. Is there a major difference if multitasking is minimal

I would get the i7 4th generation. The 3rd generation is good also. Are you thinking about a laptop or desktop

Laptop. I am a surgeon and I have to edit operation videos sometimes for my presentations.
