Core i7 just installed and nothin happening

Hello

just installed core i7 920 with an asus p6t mobo and press power and no signal to the screen, no error beeps or anything, Advice welcome cheers

case is an antec 1200, with a 100 watt coller master psu, 6 gig of corsair pc1600 ram, a dvd drive that is not connected, and 2 seagate hdds, and cant figure out if mobo is gone or its bios related

any help much appreciated

Is the fan over the CPU powering up?

Did you plug in the front panel connectors to the motherboard.

A 100 watt PSU would be the problem unless that is a typo, and as bige says, make sure front panel connectors are connected to the mobo in the correct places

Its gotta be a typo, they dont make psu's under around 230w. Pineapple Express is a great movie btw 😉

Also, make sure the switch on the back of the PSU is on.

on that motherboard you want the ram to be slotted (from closed to cpu) in ram slots 2, 4, and 6, NOT 1, 3 and 5 - the system will not post if you follow the general engineers rule of ram in slots closest to chipset/cpu as iv made this mistake before.

il try the ram, i believe i put it in the first 3 slots, and its a 1000 watt psu, and ill check the connections
