i just bought a new intel 3770k ~4ghz and i wanted to ask that is it worth that much money

What do you wish to do? If you only play then I would say no but if render where Hyperthreading can show it's potential, then the value of the cpu is better. You could also try to overclock to get the best performance.

For gaming purposes I find an i5 (does not have to be an K-version if you don't plan to overclock)
