Hey dudes.

I'm building a machine based around the i7 965 for a client.

He's using it for some intense Matlab calculations, so its also got 6 x 2gb DDR3 at 1333MHz and 2 SSDs in a RAID 0.

Since its not for gaming, I went with the geforce 9500gt.

Would a quality 500W PSU do the job?

I'm thinking of going with this for now:

How about if I plan to overclock to 4GHz?

The rest of the build is 3 case fans, and a DVD burner.

That will be fine, it is a quality PSU no doubt. If he wants a little headroom to add GPUs/workstation GPUs in the future, consider the PC P&C 750 which is insanely on sale right now (just noticed, I ordered one yesterday, and the price has gone up $10). PC Power & Cooling S75CF 750W
