How does Turbo core work in Gulftown

It doesn't. Turbo Core is an AMD feature, while Gulftown is an Intel architecture.

that gives a pretty good idea of it.

basically, it just gives one of the cores a spit of a speed boost, just to help in single threaded apps that need clock speed.

Very real possibility. I'm interested in when AMD finishes the buying out process, if they will continue to use their (Intel's) inferior technology or just take over their fabs and whatnot.

i doubt there will b i9, i9 was supposed to be a hexacroe, but some truly intelligent individual decided to make the i7970 a hexacore while the i7 975 is a quad, if they didnt use i9 then, i doubt theyll ever use it
