I have r9 270 and i want to buy cpu (on tight budget) will it bottleneck core quad q9650 how much ? I want to play games like gta 5,call of duty wwii,,far cry primal on low to high settings

if you want a budget quad, look at a new R3-2200G or R5-2400G, which come with integrated Vega graphics which at least rival a GTX1030....

But, yes, a 10 year old quadcore will be capping performance to that lower than even last years i3, much less the current quad core i3......

Can you give us your specifications? What mobo?

Although the Q9650 is very old, if you have a moderate OC, you can pair with the R9 270.

In any case I would only buy a Q9650 if it really was very, very cheap (10 - 15 $).
