Core Temp reads Quad as Duo

I just replaced a Core 2 Duo processor with a Core 2 Quad. Why does CoreTemp not recognize it correctly?

Does anyone know if this is normal?
Windows itself recognizes it correctly,

but I wanted to monitor all 4 cores using CoreTemp, but it is only showing 2 cores. Why is it saying E8300 wolfdale when it is actually a Q9550? Please help as i am confused..

Try HWInfo instead. It doesn't work correctly on every motherboard.
