[SOLVED] Core upgrading from my first build that's 8 years old. Looking for suggestions, thoughts, criticisms.

I'm upgrading my first build from 2013. I mainly use my rig for gaming. It's slowed down a considerable amount in the last couple years so it's time for some new parts. As far as price goes I'm willing to maybe go up another $100, as far as the new parts go, but would like to save money where I can to later invest in a solid gpu. I believe I've done enough research and have a good build ready but it doesn't hurt to get an honest evaluation from a respected community. The list below are the parts I will be carrying over from my old build, followed by a list of new parts.

Food for thought: I'm upgrading from an i5-3570k, 8GB ddr3-1600 ram, and windows 7. I was first considering upgrading to the i5-9600k but just about every post on here said the 3600(x) was better.

All suggestions, thoughts, comments, and criticisms are greatly appreciated. My main concerns are if I need to update the power supply, if my motherboard is a good match for my cpu, and that all parts appropriately compliment each other, and of course making sure I'm getting good bang for my buck.

The 970 Evo 500GB isn't worth $120 at all. That's in 1TB price range.

MOST B450 boards aren't GUARANTEED to SHIP with a Ryzen 3000 compatible BIOS installed. And unless you buy one with BIOS flashback, you'd need a 1st or 2nd gen Ryzen CPU to perform the BIOS update before you can use the 3rd gen CPU in there. If you don't have the ability to do that or have someone/place else do that for you, MSIs "MAX" series boards are where you'll want to look.

Might wanna at least try to transfer your existing windows license to the new machine before buying another.

I'd try and upgrade that GPU ASAP. As for the SSD, I agree with tennis2, just get a cheaper SSD, the one you have listed is not worth $120. Also, why are you paying $100 for Windows? You can just put the download ISO file onto a USB and use it for free, many tutorials on that. Only difference is a little watermark and you can't change the background but there are ways to circumvent the second issue. If you must have an activated copy of Windows 10, places like SCDKeys sell them for $25 or so and they do work.
