Upgraded my system to Win 8 and tried to run Corel WinDVD Pro 11. While the program would start, it would not play any movies, it just froze up with the HD light flashing like crazy.
I posted a ticket to Corel and they said I was SOL, WinDVD Pro 11 does not work with Windows 8 and they don't care, they might update it later if they feel like it.
So now I can no longer play Blu-ray movies. I also added WMC so I can watch TV and DVDs but it does not support Blu-ray. Short of dishing out another 50 bucks, anyone have an idea on how I can get Blu-ray movies to work here? I figure WinDVD installed some codecs, is there a way to get WMC to recognize them and use them? Just a thought, thanks.
