Several users recently tried to obtain CoreTemp by clicking on a link referenced in an answer at the top of the thread asking for recommendations for "best CPU temperature monitoring program".
The website "alcpu" hosts malware: and they give what I guess they consider is fair warning in the fine print near bottom of webpage. Avast antivirus swept two attempts to download from there, to the Vault. Only after that, did I go back to this referenced webpage and look over it thoroughly.
Google is not always your -friend-! (This website was at the top of the list after a search for "CoreTemp".)
Anyway... do another search and obtain from a reliable source, such as:
http://download.softpedia.com/dl/9990a9dc80761686eead52548fe5c1ed/55132b61/100074793/software/system/info/Core-Temp-setup.exe
But: always best to do a virus/anti-malware scan before running executable, no matter how sure you are of the source.
