Correct data cable for project

Hello,

I have a 30 floor building that i need to run a data cable up in a daisy chain inside an electrical riser. The daisy chain stabs off at each level to a controller that it will collect data from and send it back down to a CAN Moudle system.

I have run into a problem where the can module is not able to communicate with the controllers after about the 9th floor (roughly 60m). I am running cat5 cable and i am hoping that there is a better cable that i can use that will get the signal all the way to the top.

Any help is grately appreciated.

The easiest way is to slow down the transmission speed. See section 4.1 in the following document:
