Hello all,

Noob OC'er here, but know wnough to be dangerous.

When I oc my e6850 from a FSB of 333 to 400, change the strap to run at 1:1 my FSb in CPUid says 1600. I thought that the max FSB should be 1333. Is this ok or do I needto adjust the strap to make my FSB show 1333. Please let me know if my thought process is way off

E6850 with Zalman 9500
ABIt IP35-pro XE
Corsair Dominator 2x TWIN2X2048-8500C5D

Thanks,

Chip

It's fine, but you may have to bump up the FSB voltage depending on how high you overclock. My FSB is @ 1852Mhz right now and it's just humming along without problems. Stock is 1333, but if you overclock it, of course it will be higher. Overclock is raising the frequencies over the stock factory specs.
