Hello guys
I have a few questions regarding liquid cooler setup and other case fans!
Here is the spec of my system:
MB: ASUS Z170 pro gaming
CPU: Core i5 6600K
GPU: AMD RX460
PSU: Green 600w
CPU cooler: Green Glaicer 120 evo
Case fans: 2x Cooler Master JETFLO 120
The cpu cooler has 1x3-pin pump connector and 1x4-pin radiator fan connector. Both case fans have 4-pin connectors. This is my current configuration:
1- Water pump connector 3-pin --->>> 4-pin CPU_fan @ set to PWM in bios
2- Radiator fan connector 4-pin --->>> 4-pin Chassis_Fan_2 @ set to PWM in bios
3- Intake CM JETFLO 120 4-pin --->>> 4-pin Chassis_Fan_3 @ set to PWM in bios
4- Exhaust CM JETFLO 120 4-pin --->>> 4-pin Chassis_Fan_1 @ set to PWM in bios
Q1- Is the liquid cooler system setup correct? especially the 3-pin water pump connector.
Q2- The radiator fan is set to exhaust, but normally the cool air flow should blow over the fins! Is it wrong to set is as exhaust?
Q3- ASUS AI Suite and HWmonitor randomly reports wrong rpm values for the pump! The water block LED shows steady 2250rpm+-5 which is consistent with the pump specification. However, ASUS AI Suite and HWmonitor sometimes report 4000 or 3000 rpm values! Is something wrong with my setup?
Q4- I use ASUS AI Suite to control fan speeds, however the reported speed rang in fanXpert 3 is not consistent with the information provided by the manufacturers. Also, as you can see the reported fan rpm is not consistent with the fan curve provided by fanXpert 3 for all 3 fans! Is this normal?
