My Obsidian D650 Case does not have a speaker or
the connecting wire and the mother board does not have
a piezo elect speaker on board as some intel boards do.
I need to here the beeps especially on a new build.

The pins on the asus m board for the speaker are labled as follows.
|Speaker| Grnd| Grnd| + 5Vols |

The 4 pin speaker connector has black on one side and red on the
other.
Does the red get hooked to the +5 volt pin?
I assume the red gets hooked to the +5volt pin since
red is +5 v but I hate making assumptions.

Someone else in this forum asked that ? and got called an A.H.
cheers,
Paul

Thank you for your reply.
I am what they call "legally" blind but I have some vision in my left eye.
A build probably takes me ten time as long to finish but this build works
great. First time it booted into Bios just as it should.
The big issue was and remains MS calling a new O,E.M. key "not a valid".
The DVD was in a sealed M. Soft purchased from T Direct. Installing that
way was impossible, I wound up having to get an ISO image and installing
via bootable Sandisk flash drive.

Yes, as my post read, the DVD came in a sealed package from
Tiger Direct. It would not install from the DVD instead
it produced the all to common error

“Windows encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer. This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use.
Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer.”

I/O Error 0xc00000e9

I installed with the ISO image and it refused the new key but for some
odd reason accepted the key I bought in 2009. How that happened is a mystery to me.
This is the source http://www.w7forums.com/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads-t12325.html
The fact is, the install should have happened with the DVD using the new key.
