I did it day-before yesterday with 4 people, no buffs or armor, the trick is
to walk by the NPC's, they won't aggro you as often, you get 3 incaps before
you are killed. just go to each objective and complete it, you cannot kill
everything on the ship, and you shouldn't even try to kill anything, it is
just a waste of time. we are talking about troopers with 200k+ ham and 95%
resists, superbattle droids with the same, and black hole troopers with
100k+ ham and high resists don't worry about killing anything, just finish
your mission

Obviously its possible for the low levels too. You can just incapp
your way past all the enemies but I wouldn't say you'd "beat the
'vette". Thats what a group I was in did the other night. Personally
I felt cheated. I wanted to kill stuff not use some half arsed
semi-exploit to win.

Still I returned with a decent group and beat it the good old
fashioned way a second time later.
