I had an issue with my GTX 750 before wherein the back part where the GPU is located had some white and brownish corrosion. It looked more like grime than rust. The screws that hold the cooler for the GPU were completely rusted. Because of this, the GPU completely went out and was deemed unusable when I have it checked by a technician. The card only lasted less than two years. I bought another card a GTX 1050 Ti back in September to replace it. However, after doing a minor cleaning on my build, I noticed that the 1050 Ti is already showing some signs of the same issue wherein the screws are starting to rust as well. I live in the Philippines, which is a tropical country. I am no where near any body of water and temperature is mostly hot so most of the time I need to turn on the air conditioner. I understand that condensation may occur with this condition, but what I don't understand is why it is only happening on the graphics card? The motherboard is still perfectly fine with no signs of corrosion neither are the other parts of the PC. This is a 6-year old build, but I am just a casual gamer, so I am still fine with it. Specs are as follows:
Inno3D GTX 1050 Ti Twin X2
AMD FX-4100
Gigabyte GA-880gm-usb3L
Deepcool Gammaxx 400
Cougar Spike with 4 120mm-fan (3 in, 1 out)
Zalman ZM500-GS (500W; serves as second output fan)
By the way, the computer is placed at the bottom of my computer table. I only have a small room so I don't have the space to place it somewhere else. I really hope somebody would be able to help me understand the possible cause of this issue. I cannot afford to buy a graphics card every year or two. Thank you very much in advance.
