Corrupt driver loophole

I've recently completed a clean windows 7 install, but when windows begins to load I get a windows boot manager error that reads "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware of software change might be the cause...

Info: Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt.

The error message prompted me to repair the installation of windows 7, but when i pop in the windows cd and hit "repair" it says that the windows CD is not compatible with the current installation of windows. It's the same cd i used to install windows. I've tried reformatting several times only to get the same error message.

well, since you haven't done anything w/ the installation yet,
i'd first try to reformat the drive, and try again.

it may be a hardware error,
is this new hardware? or something from a previous build.
you can try testing the hardware through bootable disks.

if you could have gotten into the repair command prompt (or any cmd prompt) you could try to replace the file thats messed up. download it, put it on a thumb drive, ect. and then copy it into place
