corrupt folder cannot be deleted

on the micro SD card in my MP3 player I have a folder full of messed up files (half of its in cthulu speak) I think its the remains of some music I tried to delete when I was running Linux mint on my laptop and everything broke

I cant delete it though its completely un deleteable

the SD card is formatted in fat32 (I actually have no idea why isn't ntfs better?) and the folder calims its 74GB in size (and in size on disc - this is impossible due to the fact the SD card is 16GB)

Are you trying to erase the files in a windows environment? If you are using a windows environment instead of trying to delete the files try reformatting the micro SD card. If the default reformat utility in windows is not working try downloading aomei partition assistant, it works really well.
