Corrupt Windows Vista

this possible.
I went to Africa (..) and bought a new computer with a Vista Operating System which after a while i couldn't run the Microsoft Updates that tells me that the OS is corrupt!,can i clean it up and install a new OS like Windows 10?
I had a look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3_GXImETg8 i think i can only install a same version (w/vista)...?

Sure you can install Windows 10, it should actually be popping up all the time telling you to upgrade to it as a free download.

Actually, Vista is not included in the windows 10 upgrade program.
