Greetings: New install: A8N SLI Premium MoBo. Configuring RAID 0 ......

Made driver disk like instructed. (Made Silicon 32 & 64, as well as Nvidia 32 & 64 on 4 new disks)

When I boot with XP PRO disk and it gets to the place where I run the RAID driver, it runs a minute then sez "file ext64system64Si3114r5 is corrupted.
Hit any key to exit."

The first time it was with Silicon 64 (Yes it was configured in the CMOS).

The second time I tried the Silicon 32 version. No go....same message, different file.

SO, I reconfiged CMOS to Nivida, turning off Silicon on board, changed cables.

Third time I tried Nvidia 64...same error message, different file corrupted...

Fourth time Nvidia 32....error , but another file was listed as corrupt.

I thought maybe my new untested Floppy drive maybe faulty. Borrowed one from a spare computer...made new disks from 4 new floppies. Went through the thing 4 times more as all of the above......hehe

Went to ASUS web site for help.....hehe, what an experience that was.

SO, what you guys think? Bad MoBo CD?

THANKS for any help. MPX

WHEW! I finally got a driver that worked off of the Silicon Image web site.

What an unnecessary problem......THX to all anyway, MPX
